How it started
I was probably the fastest young hockey player in my small town, without no motivation whatsoever to score any goals. A speed skating tryout, in which I was the only participant, led to my biggest passion. I still remember looking at the 2002 Olympic poster I hung in my closet. Winning at the highest level would become my lifelong dream.

How it grew
As a teenager, a movie ignited my imagination while I was away trying Long Track Skating in Calgary. Stoicism gave me a way of living, passing through difficult times being bullied.
-Be present. The obstacle is the way.-
Every year, I became a better, stronger version of myself. By 16 a first big step came along: being invited to the National Team. By 17, international medals were hung by my neck.
